Well before you get started, here's one more project, a scrapbook page I created with the new #Summer collection from American Crafts.
CHALLENGE: For my title, I chose to die-cut super-sized letters and back each with patterned paper in assorted tropical colors. Your challenge, should you accept it, is to use BIG (more than 2-inch tall!) lettering somewhere on YOUR page. It's an eye-catching way to present a smaller less complicated title, especially when paired with a single large photo such as this 5x7 team picture.

ReplyDeleteLove using big letters. I do it a lot. Your page is super cute! I am spending one week a month at my 90 year old granny's house over the summer (so she can stay in her home on the farm). I will be spending that time scrapbooking her life. She had an amazing life and I am so looking forward to it! Happy scrapping!

ReplyDeleteMadeline, I just love how you've captured that summery, celebratory feeling on your page. I love the colors and the banners. One of the things I'm really looking forward to scrapping this summer is our niece's wedding in June. A lot of family will be there, and who doesn't love to scrap a wedding, right? ReplyDeleteI hate to see the blog hop end, it has been super fantastic! I am just thrilled with all the beautiful projects you all shared! Your layout is awesome! This summer I hope to photograph my mom alot with me, my hubby, her grandkids and our pets. She has lived with us 24 years. Unfortunately she has had a devastating cancer for past 7 years. After 6 operations and 5 rounds of radiation, she is running out of options and is undergoing more radiation starting on 5/5/14. I want to capture everything I can about mom this summer while we still have her with us.

ReplyDeleteOh how much I have to look forward to this summer! First we'll be welcoming our third baby, then we'll spend the afternoons eating Popsicles & running through the sprinkler, and we'll finish our lazy days by celebrating two birthdays. I love summer!

ReplyDeleteI am so in love with the bold colours of this collection - it says 'beach balls' and buckets and spades to me - for sure!!
This summer, I am hoping to go to the beach with my husband and our 2 dogs. Our 2 boys are grown up and probably won't want to be seen with us - but our fur-boys hopefully aren't that fussy! lol...
So, my fur-boys chasing a ball on the beach would be great to scrap!
I just love AC for their amazing colour collections. Always cheerful! Always makes me smile when ever I see a collection from them.

I look forward to scrapping more of the old "everyday" family photos I have taken over the years. We lost Grandpa last year and I was shocked with just how many photos were still sitting in their developing envelopes. I want to scrap them (probably a mix of traditional and pocket PL pages) and add some journaling so that I record the memories before I forget all the details.
