Alaska

Lacking winter landscapes, I had to be a bit creative with last month's Scraptastic kit, Baby It's Cold Outside. One thought was to sift through my photos from an Alaskan cruise a few years ago, and use some of those pictures. Here is what I came up with:

By cutting out the center, distressing edges, and mounting on a background of cardstock, I was able to use both sides of the same sheet of paper, one inside the other, tree trunks and cardinals.

The cardinal motif is repeated with a sticker and journaling card. Love the bits of red.

And now a couple more of those cruise pics are scrapped!

Love this idea. I was contemplating buying two sheets of something I want both sides of but I like this idea better! Alaska is one of the few states I haven't been to. I think a cruise would be a great way to see it. :)

Great layout, love the blue and red together, and how could you not use both sides?!? :)

Beautiful layout. I especially live the pop of color the cardinal brings.

Your page looks great. I'm always citing the middle of my papers out so I can use the other side some times it seems like such a waste when you love both sides.

Very cool page - I like both sides so it's great you could use both on one layout!
