Frame It!

Scraptastics Days of Our Lives Kit Add-on included the most wonderful pack of die cut chipboard, including several frame designs in different colors and sizes. The following two layouts use three of those frames. The first, Pooh & Friends uses a smaller frame in a more unexpected way...not to frame a photo but to create an appealing accent instead. I had this rather empty spot at the bottom right side of my page, and the frame, embellished with a chipboard heart button, filled it in nicely.

With so much red in the photo itself, I had to limit the red accents to small pops of color here and there: a homemade flower, a few small title letters, ink splatters, and the heart button.

The three little bees were inspired by an old Cosmo Cricket journaling card from my stash. I hand drew the bee bodies on the yellow dot paper, cut them out, and adhered them to my page. Once attached, I drew their antennae, wings, and "flight paths". They look adorable paired with Scraptastic's exclusive honeycomb stamp.

I thought about using the Liquid Pearls to write part of my title directly on the page, but then thought better about it. (OMGosh, I would die if I messed up all the work I'd already completed!) Instead, I found a skinny script font, die cut it from the grey cardstock, and covered it in Liquid Pearls. Once dry, it was adhered to the page. Whew...that was a much safer alternative!

And here's a closeup of my frame and button:

On my second layout, two of the frames are used to accentuate two different photos of my swimmer. A smattering of wood veneer stars hints at his school team's success.

I loved this phrase sticker and found it quite appropriate. "Do what you love and do it often." Good advice for anyone!

As you can see below, the Jenni Bowlin "Read This" tag  was placed alongside the photo of my son pouring over the heat sheet for the Championship Swim Meet...psyching himself out!

Now to see if these two pages will fit any of the CHA Challenges on Two Peas!

Two perfect layouts. So many great details but since I told you how much I love the pooh layout, I have to pick those frames as my fave bit on the swim page. They make the page pop and the stars are a great accent since they are wood. Awesome washi tape on that page. I might need that one

So much I love about that first layout! I love frames as just embellishments. And the stamped hexagons are a nice touch. Plus those adorable little bees.

And the second layout is fabulous, too.
Love the frames and stars!
